Commercial clearance

Offices, retail units, workshops and warehouses. Desks, partitioning, IT equipment, filing, stock and fit-out. We work out of hours where a building is still trading, and we can stage a clearance floor by floor around a lease end.

Confidential waste is handled separately. Paper files can go to a certified shredding stream with a destruction certificate, and IT equipment can go for data-wiped disposal rather than into a skip. Say so at quotation stage and it will be priced as its own line.

Storage units and lock-ups

Often the last thing to be dealt with in an estate, and frequently the one nobody has opened in years. We can attend a storage facility, clear the unit, and hand back the keys, with an inventory of anything that looked like it mattered.

Marina and houseboat clearance

We have cleared houseboats, and they are their own kind of job. Access is by gangway, there is rarely space for more than one or two people aboard at a time, and everything has to be carried rather than trolleyed. A boat that would take half a day as a flat takes two or three.

We price marine work on a day rate with a written statement of work rather than through the room calculator, because room counts mean very little on a vessel.

Why this is not in the calculator

The estimate tool is built around domestic rooms, and it would give you a misleading number for a workshop, a warehouse or a boat. For commercial and marine work, tell us what you have and we will come back with a written quotation, usually within one working day.
